2012 Stonyfield Earth Day 5K
Thank you for attending the Stonyfield Earth Day Fair and 5K Run/walk.
This year we had ideal weather and plenty of you took advantage of it!. With over 1,000 runners and walkers it was a great day for the second annual Stonyfield Earth Day 5K. The fair lasted from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM with hundreds of visitors from the race and the community. Check out the YouTube video, you may be famous.
Celebrate Spring and Earth day in this morning-long festival featuring a walk/run 5K followed by a FREE Earth Day Fair. Bring the family as there will be booths and activities for all ages.
The morning kicks off with a 5K walk run and a gentle rolling course followed by a super post-race celebration featuring live music. While you groove to the music be sure to take advantage of our free buffet of healthy snacks featuring delicious Stonyfield products of course and take a tour of our Earth Day Fair booths and exhibits.
The Earth Day Fair is being held in conjunction with the 5K walk/run 
and will provide educational opportunities and xperiences with sustainability approaches, products and services. The Fair is free, open to the general public, and opens at the start of the 5K walk/run.
As part of Stonyfield’s “yogurt on a mission" philosophy, 10% of the race proceeds will go to Londonderry High School programs. Two programs at the school will be the recipients.
The first is the EcoSense Club. The mission of this club is to promote, encourage, and increase awareness of Earth-friendly practices throughout the school and community.
Their current focus is the planning of projects that will encourage the student body of Londonderry to conserve and recycle, as well as preparing activities for celeb
ration of Earth Week. The other award will be to a graduating senior intent on furthering their education in a field related to health or environmental issues.
